Power, measured in watts, is the amount of time it takes for a given amount of work to be done. The faster it takes something to perform a given amount of work, the more power it has generated. There are two things performing power on the ball, the first motion performing power on the ball is the cockback. To find the power of the cockback motion you need the time it takes to cock the ball back and the work needed.

Therefore the power generated by the cockback is 4.3 Watts.

The other motion performing power on the ball is the when it is thorwn. To find the power of the throw motion you need the time the ball was in the air and the work that was needed to throw the football.

Therefore the power generated when the football is thrown is 71.9 Watts.
